Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts.
They have no fear of God at all.
Psalm 36:1
This short thought comes tonight on cyber bullying. It is something that I am sure many of you have gone through and I hope many of you have not done, but it happens and since we are on the theme of bullying , I thought tonight would be a great night to talk about cyber bullying since I am posting this online.
The verse above talks about those who do not know God, and since they do not know God, they do not fear Him. They do not fear his judgement; they feel free to keep a sinful life. I know this sounds maybe appealing to some of you, but it is not the life that I pray for you to have. I pray that you will find the Lord and want to fear him, so you will lead a less sinful life.
Now how does this relate to cyber bullying? It may seem farfetched, but they cyber bullies are those who are wicked, as they feel free to sit behind their computer screen mocking others, putting others down, and creating pain in people’s lives, and they do this because they do not fear what will happen to them because really it could be anyone saying those comments.
There are many ways to cyber bullying people without people knowing who it is, and I am not going to share those ways, but I want you to know that you do not have to put up with those “wicked” people, you can delete them off facebook, or twitter, or your email, you cannot give into them by replying or making comments back, and MOST of all, YOU CAN TELL AN ADULT. Save your emails from the person, save the facebook posts or messages and tell someone and they can help you through that. One of the great things about the internet is that you can walk away from it and delete the comments so you never have to see them again.
There is hope for us all and it comes from God’s amazing love for us. I will leave you all with this song from Third Day called “Your Love oh Lord”., which the lyrics come from the rest of this chapter in Psalm.
